Quality Assurance

Every wonder about the products that you use everyday? Where was it made? Who made it? What assurance of quality do you have? Cotapaxi has very experienced and dedicated Quality Assurance Inspectors who answer these and many other questions at several stages of the production process.

Cotapaxi understands that quality is of the highest importance. To that end our trained quality control inspectors visit production from start to finish.

We understand the need for the strictest levels of quality – for both the product and the decoration (correct PMS colors, registration & durability).

Cotapaxi will have quality control inspectors at each level of production to verify the quality at the following points:

Raw Material check – to verify the raw materials are correct.

Injection Molding check – to verify the injected parts are being produced to specifications and that the colors are correct.

Decoration check – to ensure that each logo is printed in the correct PMS color, has the correct registration, is in the correct location and will pass both tape and nail tests.

Assembly check – to ensure that each item is correctly assembled – looks cosmetically correct and works functionally.

Packing check – to ensure that every item is packed to the specifications and will pass drop test so there are no problems during shipping.

Final and random inspection – all shipments inspected by an independent 3rd party inspection company before shipment

Every product produced complies with all state and federal quality standards. We test all materials to ensure that they do not contain any harmful elements (including lead, cadmium, mercury, etc.)

ALL COTAPAXI PRODUCTS ARE PRODUCED TO ISO 9000 STANDARDS.

Cotapaxi products are manufactured with veracity in accordance with the latest Good Manufacturing Practice Standards, including 18 quality systems that build superiority into our products during each phase of their development.

Our 18-step system of quality assurance is many times more effective than merely having a product pass a single quality assurance test.

These systems assure that all of our products are manufactured in accordance with the stringent guidelines of Federal and all State Requirements.
